Slice of Life: Shall We Have a Cup of Tea?
One of my favorite things to do is to drink a hot or cold cup of tea! Today I’d thought I share with you some of my favorite teas, tea drinking habits, etc.
I think I really didn’t start to enjoy drinking tea (when I wasn’t sick) on a regular basis when I got to high school. Everyday I learn about a new tea I haven’t tried. And lately, I’ve opened my eyes and started exploring the wonders of loose leaf tea. Why didn’t I find out about this stuff until now?! It’s amazing! I still buy tea in boxes (cause it’s more inexpensive), but I think the best thing about loose leaf I that you can use the same leaves to make multiple cups and it will consistently stay fresh and taste delicious!
I own a lot a different types of tea, since I like variety and because I drink it so much!
Top Picture: Honey Vanilla Chamomile, English Breakfast Tea, Lemon Zinger, Wild Berry Zinger
Bottom Picture: Lady Rainicorn (Adventure Time), Darjeeling, Lemon Green Tea, and my awesome Fred the Manatee tea infuser (about $4)
My favorite tea that I like to drink the most is Honey Vanilla Chamomile. I think it’s because there’s that perfect balance of a light honey flavor blended with the calming effect of chamomile. It’s a very light tea and usually I add a bit of honey just to give it a kick.
If I’m feeling tired I’ll drink English Breakfast and Darjeeling. Those two are the strongest teas I own and it’s caffeinated so they keep me up and energetic. The only suggestion I have for these teas is that if you don’t like your tea strong, try to steep the bags/leaves for about 3 min max.
I got the Rainicorn tea from Adagio Teas which is a good website for loose leaf tea. The prices are reasonable and they have teas for almost any fandom and movie such as Sherlock, Doctor Who, Avengers, etc.
And last but not least because I drink so much tea and coffee, I have a tendency to constantly buy and get coffee mugs as presents. Currently I’m banned from bringing any more in the house, since my whole collection can’t fit in the cabinets. Here are just some of them…
Did I mention I love Hello Kitty? The Hello Kitty mug the right picture is my favorite as well as the mug where the girl is reading books. It’s the best present for a bibliophile!
Oh and before I forget a little shameless self-promotion. I am on Facebook and I’m also am newly on Tumblr as well! I posting my blog posts as well as cool bookish things I find on the internet. So feel free to connect with me on my social media accounts! 🙂
And… one more tea gif before I sign off!
What’s your favorite type tea of tea? Let me know!

What a coincidence-I just got back from going to Wal-mart on my lunch break to replenish my tea supply. There’s something very calming about sipping on a good cup of tea! Thanks for the link to get the loose leaf kind. I was just saying the other day that I want to start trying that.
I’ll think you’ll enjoy loose leaf tea, it’s just a matter of finding out which flavors you like best. Good luck on your tea journey!
Think I had the best tea of my life in a small tea shop in Glasgow. Its called Chai Ovna, and its classic YogiYogi Chai is to die for!
Ooo! Chai tea is always good. Sounds delicious!
