What I’m Listening To…Hello Summer!
Hello readers! I love listening to music of all genres on a daily basis. I can’t go a day without popping on some headphones and listening to some upbeat tunes while I dance around my room or relax from a long day by listening to calming songs. In my segment “What I’m Listening To” I share some of my favorite song picks with you in a mini-playlist consisting of five tracks.
Summer is here with its blue skies and sunny days, so I decided to put together a fun playlist full of energetic tunes to soak up sun and dance the day away! Enjoy! 🙂
1)The Answer by Joss Stone
This is one of my favorite tracks off of Stone’s last album. The whole album is reggae influenced which you can most definitely hear on this track. The beat will get you dancing and I love how the MV matches the song’s carefree and energetic sound!
2) Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendez and Brazil 66
Mas Que Nada is a song that I never get tired of listening to! It’s vibrant and jazzy sound is mellow, yet danceable. It’s just something about this samba melody mixed with the harmonizing vocals that makes it such a great track.
3) Motownphilly by Boyz II Men
Nothing beats some good ‘ol Boyz II Men on a warm summer day. Motownphilly has the R&B vocals to make you swoon with a hype hip-hop beat. It’s such a good dance song and the choreography in the MV matches perfectly with the song.
4) Lo Siento by Super Junior feat. Leslie Grace
I mentioned this song in a previous My Favorite Things, and I still have it on replay. This is definitely one of the best song Suju has released lately. The cinematography of the MV really fits the melody of the song and I love the Latin beat.
5) Iz-It-Good-2-U X 2-On by Charlie Taft
Charlie has some killer vocals in this track and many of her other songs. This song has the 90’s sound down to a T. I love how it’s a mashup of Pop and R&B. Definitely a good song for cruising along in your car.
