Top Ten Tuesday: Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2021

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s topic is Most Anticipated Releases for the Second Half of 2021! There are so many good books being released in the latter part of this year. I can’t wait! I couldn’t list all of them here, but here are some books that are on my radar.

The Dating Playbook | Please Don’t Sit on My Bed in Your Outside Clothes: Essays | The Heart Principle

The Donut Trap | Nothing But Blackened Teeth | The Bones of Ruin | Six Crimson Cranes

For All Time | The Charm Offensive | You Can Go Your Own Way

  1. Look at those gorgeous covers! I have to admit I’ve been completely remiss in keeping up with the new releases for the second half of 2021 — I’ve been banking on other people’s lists to see me through. 😛 Which reminds me, I hope The Millions releases their giant second-half-of-year book preview soon!

    1. I’m the same way, lol! I actually had to look up some titles to create this list. I didn’t realize how many good releases are coming out in the latter part of 2021. I’ll have to check out some more new book release posts and see what else I can add to my TBR.

  2. The book I’m most excited to read in this moment is the new Hiromi Goto graphic novel, Shadow Life. I’ve loved her books for years (Half Life as fantasy, Chorus of Mushrooms as family story, etc.) but this new one is about a woman growing older and facing her fears (by going on a quest of some sort, I think?); it’s also supposed to be humourous and I’ve been reading a lot about the climate crisis, so facing fear and humour are things I’d like more of. 🙂

    1. I am not familiar with Goto’s work but thank you so much for sharing! It sounds like a graphic novel that I should add to my TBR for sure. 🙂
