Hi All! Wonderful Writers is a weekly segment that comes out every Wednesday! Every week I spotlight and discuss one of my favorite authors, books by them, and talk about their writing styles and such. I hope you’ll enjoy. Feel free to participate as well by writing your own post and as always you are welcome to use the meme/pic if you’d like (just remember to credit me).
About: Roxanne Longstreet Conrad aka “Rachel Caine” is a an American writer of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, suspense, and horror novels. She has been writing and publishing novels and short stories since 1990. Some of her most notable series include Morganville Vampires and the Weather Wardens.
What I’ve Read (So Far):
- Morganville Vampires #1-11
Why She’s A Wonderful Writer:
I have enjoyed Caine’s writing ever since I started to read the Morganville Vampires series a few years ago. I’ve even started to get into her Weather Wardens series which is equally exciting! There are many things in this series that gives Morganville its own uniqueness and makes it stand out among other vampire novels.
I really love the settings that pull you into the story’s environment and the page-turning plot that Caine concocts in her novels, but what I admire most about her writing is her characters. She creates these amazon fictional people who seem so real and gives them so much depth making you want to love and hate them all at the same time.
I recommend checking out any of her series if you are fans of the sci-fi and fantasy genre!
