Synopsis:

Addison Montgomery has finally found love with the man of her dreams, Blake Greenwood, and is ready to live another lifetime of happiness with him. But the morning they’re supposed to bring closure to their dark, violent past, all chances of a happily-ever-after turn as dead as the ghosts she sees on a daily basis.

Now Addie must team up with her greatest enemy, embracing her not-quite-perfect gift of reading art psychically. If she succeeds, she will finally learn the truth behind her father’s and grandfather’s disappearances. If she fails, every chance at love she’s ever hoped for will be destroyed. But one thing is clear: she has to choose between saving Blake or her family, and there’s no way she can ever have both.

Character’s Favorite Christmas Memory
Our family gathered around the deep cherry dining table that Grandmother Grace and our mother had set with fine white linens, crystal, silver and china. I was five at the time and this was our annual tradition for Christmas dinner.
I knew either Alexa or I would spill something on that crisp, white tablecloth. It was bound to happen, and it was a crime that would earn one of us an angry look from our mother. Grace would send the offender scurrying into the kitchen for club soda and a towel. Our grandfather would laugh and our father would try to get everyone to calm down to no avail.
Our grandfather placed the turkey at his end of the table. The bird was golden brown, surrounded by green garnish and positioned in the center of a silver platter. When we all bowed our heads for the blessing I kept one eye open and observed my family members in their unguarded state. It was my whole world gathered together in one room. When I peeked at my grandfather I found him looking at me. He winked and I broke out in a broad grin.
While my father went on with his words of prayerful gratitude, my grandfather reached into his front pocket. He withdrew his tightly fisted hand and winced as if he were concentrating. He opened his hand beneath the side of the table where only I could see. In his palm was a red jeweled bookmark, it was gold and I’d seen him clip it on the pages of books he read. He gestured for me to take it. I let my hand hover over the small ornament and felt the energy that emanated from it. That’s why he squeezed his hand earlier. He’d pressed an energetic message into it for me, now he wanted me to read it.
He slid the bookmark into my left palm and the meaning ran through me strong and clear: I’ll always love you, Addie.
My heart swelled three times its normal size and I fell into his arms for one of his giant hugs.
As the prayer ended I returned to my seat. Only Alexa had moved my crystal glass when I wasn’t looking and my elbow knocked the glass over and sent iced tea all over the table.
“Oh, Addie!” my mother exclaimed.
“Go get club soda and a towel,” my grandmother fussed.
My grandfather’s deep laughter filled the room and Alexa laughed so hard her body shook.
I jabbed Alexa in the back on my way to the kitchen, then paused in the doorway to take in the chaos.
My grandfather raised his wine glass to me in a toast.
