Today’s Video: I Give Up On Books!
In this week’s video, Booktube vlogger Ariel Bisset talks about the dilemma of finishing a book you don’t enjoy. She discusses why readers feel so pressured to finish every book they read and poses the question of “if I don’t finish a book, will my opinion of the book be as valid as someone who actually finished it?”
I and other readers can probably relate to this issue so very well! I agreed with Ariel and a lot of the points she brought up in this video. A long time ago I felt pressured to finish every single book I read, but now I realize that reading is meant to be enjoyed not forced. Life is too short to read books you’re not fully invested in.
Question of the week: What is a book you felt ultimately pressured to finish, but you were unable to? Why?
Comment below with your answers and enjoy the weekend! 🙂

I used to devour books but not anymore. I’m struggling to get through a collection of short stories by Robert Aickman. He’s a good writer but I don’t have the time or patience. I’m not giving up yet!
I completely understand! Short story collection can be a bit tricky too, because if you’re not into reading a certain story you feel like skipping over it and moving on.
