November Book Haul: The “Treat Yo Shelf” Edition
I can’t believe has November has come and gone! I dubbed this haul th “Treat Yo Shelf” edition because most of these books I bought completely on a whim. Plus they were my highly anticipated reads. This past weekend I indulged in some Black Friday book sales and bought books I didn’t need, per usual.
I’ve somewhat cut back on buying books, besides the somewhat large order I placed on Book Outlet (which will be included in December’s haul). Recently, I’ve been mostly focusing on Christmas shopping for family and friends. I’m also participating in #TBTBSanta (The Broke and Bookish’s Secret Santa) event and the person I’ve been shopping for has excellent and a similar taste in books. I was so tempted to buy extra copies for myself, but I refrained.
Also, in other bookish news on the blog: keep your eyes open for a giveaway post coming soon! This holiday themed giveaway will be the last giveaway of the year!
Let’s start with the haul! (Sorry these pics are not better quality, my camera was being funky!)
Bought:
Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi: I posted a previous pic of this on Instqgram (that truly does the cover justice) and I love the colors used in the cover’s artwork. I’ve heard wonderful things about this book!
Bleeding Earth by Kaitlyn Ward: This book was 50% for Barnes & Noble’s Black Friday sale. I love the cover art and it looks like an interesting book.
The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon: Ever since I heard about this book coming into existence I wanted to read it badly. I fell in love with Yoon’s debut novel and I can’t wait to read this!
The Revenant by Michael Punke: Ever since I saw the film, I become interested in reading the novel. I love learning about historical events, so I’m hoping the book will touch on things that the movie didn’t.
The Scottish Prisoner by Diana Gabaldon: It’s a companion novel to the Outlander series, so it was an automatic buy for me.
Yaqui Delgado Wants to Kick Your Ass by Meg Medina: On my quest to add more diverse books to my shelf, I picked up this gem. The title alone hooked me into the story, so I hope it’s good.
Donations:
*Note: I work in a public library, so sometimes we have access to take home donated books from fellow patrons that will be added the annual book sales we hold.
Elizabeth is Missing by Emma Healey: I love mysteries, so I couldn’t resist picking this up!
Off The Page by Jodi Picoult & Samantha Van Leer
Between The Lines by Jodi Picoult & Samantha Van Leer: Both of these book have been on my TBR pile for a while and the synopsis really has me hooked!
That concludes this month’s book haul! What books did you buy this month? What books have you recently added to your TBR? Tell me in the comment section below.

Hmm…I’ve been toying around with getting into the Outlander series. I’m still trying to make up my mind. Same too for Yoon’s books though the covers are beautiful.
Lovely haul!
Thank you! 🙂
I hear wonderful things about Meg Medina! Can’t wait to hear what you think of that one — I have Burn Baby Burn on my TBR list and am very excited to read it.
