Welcome to “A Month of Favorites”. This month-long event is hosted by Girlxoxo, Traveling with T and Estella’s Revenge. Throughout December I’ll be participating in some of these fun topics where I’ll get to share my reading experiences from 2014. To find more info about the blog event click here!
Today’s Topic: Top Ten Favorite Book Covers
I absolute love the dress on this cover! It’s a nice, elegant ball gown that fits perfectly with the main theme of the book.
2) “Dorothy Must Die” by Danielle Paige
Simple, yet eye-catching. The cover is what prompted by to pick up this dark tale of Dorothy gone mad.
3) “The Ring & The Crown” by Melissa De La Cruz
I love how the hues of pink, red, purple, and yellow mix together here. The ginormous flower crown is also pretty and intricate.
4) “Jackaby” by William Ritter
TBR. I love the color tones used along with the image face overlying the picture of woman running down the cobble street. It makes the story look dark and sinister.
5) “The Cure For Dreaming” by Cat Winters
A TBR. Looks historical and the girl is levitating off a chair. How could I not want to read this book?!
6) “Girl On a Wire” by Gwenda Bond
Another highly anticipated TBR. I love the sketch/shadow technique used to portray the main character. Plus a girl is walking on a tightrope over heights. Gotta give her credit.
7) “Talon” by Julie Kagawa
I just bought this book a week ago, it’s the first in a new series by Kagawa. I love the varying shades of red and that the cover feels like your touching dragon like scales. It’s so cool!
8) “Saga Vol.3” by Fiona Staples and Brian K. Vaughn
Love the artwork! If you haven’t read Saga yet, it’s a great graphic novel I highly recommend. I still have to catch up with the story and read this volume.
9) “Fangirl” by Rainbow Rowell
Now, technically this book came out in 2013. But, I still wanted to add it since I didn’t get to read it till this year. I love the comic style drawing and the way the colors pop!
10) “Through The Woods” by Emily Carroll
This cover looks so dark and eerie, matching with the books theme and horror stories. Though I purchased it a month ago I still haven’t gotten a chance to read it yet.
