April Book Haul!
Book Haul time! Not too many purchases from April since I’ve been trying to spring clean my book collection and make room for new books.
A book purchase from my trip to Chicago (to read about it click here)….
“Krik? Krak!” by Edwidge Danticat
Other April Purchases…
“The Story of Beautiful Girl” by Rachel Simon
“A Taste of Blood Wine” by Freda Warrington
“City of Dark Magic” by Magnus Flyte
These are all bargain buys. I am the most interested in reading “A Taste of Blood Wine” since the plot line is not only intriguing, but because it also mixes the genres of paranormal and historical fiction.
And some early May purchases as well~
“Sounding Natural in Japanese” by Akemi Tanahashi & Yayoi Oshima
I got this book for a good deal at a used bookstore. It’s made by The Japan Times, the same company who makes the Genki textbooks/workbooks, which are good to study Japanese with! I’m really excited to get back into studying Japanese on a daily basis!
May 3 was Free Comic Book Day! Don’t fret if you missed it, it will be back next year (it’s always the first Saturday in May).
I’m a big fan of graphic novels/comics so I decided to pick up a couple of free comics. I saw “Ms.Marvel” by Willow Wilson on my way to leave so I decided to snag that too. I’ve heard some good things about the series so I’m looking forward to it!
What did you buy in April? Have you already purchased books in May? Let me know in the comments 🙂
