Kinetics is a short but fast-paced novella with a Sci-Fi/Fantasy theme. This novella is the story of Ava and her twin brother Tyrone. Eva struggles to get by in school due to the constant bullying and humiliation she undergoes every single day, but she has her brother to help her out on times get hard. However, when all of Eva’s bullies end up injured or somehow mysteriously missing it seems like her brother is behind it all. What will Eva do?

This novel is heavily science fiction as the title Kinetics actually plays a part in some of the supernatural action-packed scenes that occur in the book. Multimind puts her own special spin on the chosen supernatural powers trope. The novella is very intriguing and pulls the readers in. Due to it’s fast-paced nature sometimes some of the elements really get lost in the story. I would have loved to know more about the character’s backgrounds, and the mystery surrounding their powers, and the twin’s true potential.

I wish additional smaller details were included in the story, but I understand because it is a short story that many questions will be left unanswered. Perhaps these unanswered questions can prompt another chapter in Eva’s story.
