August Book Haul: “Adding To My TBR” Edition

Hello everyone! August has ended and now we’re heading into September. I’m a bit sad to see summer go, but I’m looking forward to all the things fall will bring: sweater weather, apple cider, Halloween, and so much more! I did well with not buying a ton of books last month, so I’m proud of myself! I obtained quite a bit of ARCs now that I’m all caught up, plus I’m getting back into doing blog tours again. I missed participating in them. I’m also collaborating with some bloggers and authors this month which will be lots of fun. I’ve got some great stuff planned for September!

Now it’s time for a book haul!

Bought

We’ll Never Be Apart by Emiko Jean – Psychological thrillers are always entertaining. I haven’t heard about prior to finding it in a bookstore, but it sounds good.

Princesses Behaving Badly by Linda Rodriguez McRobbie – I love historical books, so this is right up my alley. It’s about princesses throughout history!

A Spy in the House by Y.S. Lee – I saw this book featured on Bina @ WOC Reads blog a while back and when I saw it in the book store, I couldn’t resist buying it. I love YA mysteries.

Won/Gifted

Magic Bites by Illona Andrews – I won this in a Goodreads giveaway and I can’t wait to read it! It’s been on my TBR for a while. I’ve heard so many good things about it!

ARCs/Review Copies

Between You and Me by Lynn Turner – The author of this book reached out to me for a review and it looks good. Contemporary Romance is one of my favorite genres, plus it’s a OwnVoices novel.

Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman – I’m participating in a blog tour with Rich in Variety for this book. So far, this book is great and I’m enjoying the plot/characters!

Water Into Wine by Joyce Chng – This book is Sci-Fi novella. Already the beautiful cover art has caught my eye. A review for this book should be up in early October.

Wild Mountain by Nancy Hayes Kilgore – This book is a mixture of contemporary and literary fiction. Just by looking at the synopsis, I’m intrigued. Looking forward to this read.
