The Collective military has spent its years destroying the last remnants of The Hive, an alien force that devastated the old world. bringing forth the apocalypse, and ushering a new age of warring factions.
Alexander King is a Collective soldier who during a mission monitoring the outskirts of Zone 6, discovers evidence that the Hives presence is stronger the commonly believed. With his new information it becomes vital that The Collective acts fast, for if they don’t the world will be brought to its knees again in a wave of destruction that will end humanity forever.
Q&A Time!
Hi Jeremiah! Thank you for visiting the blog. Tell us a little about yourself and your background?
I am 23, and based in Vancouver B.C. Where I’m currently trying my best to be both, those are the main two ways that I really identify myself.
Describe “The Hive” in three words.
Exciting, Adventurous, Beginning
Why did you choose to write this story?
I had an image in my head based off of what one of the scenes was going to be, the funny part is that scene never actually ended up making in the book.
What draws you to this genre?
I enjoy the concept of being able to craft my own world, and characters, managing to set it on my terms.
If you had to put together a movie cast for “The Hive”. Who would you like to see playing the lead character/s?
If I was in charge I would prefer it to have unknowns. Sometimes it feels as if when there’s a big star on screen it makes people sometimes be drawn out of the experience as they are thinking more about the actor then the story sometimes.
You done a lot of work as a comedian, what are the biggest differences between comedy and writing fiction?
Comedy is great because getting laughs feels really good great, but its a very fleeting , and you have to get quickly get back up again in order to enjoy it. Once you have written a novel in a way it is satisfying forever. I do both as much as I can , but since a novel takes a much longer time in the big picture it is a little more satisfying. If you craft an hour as a comedian by the time it is finished your bored of telling all those jokes.
Any website or resources that have been helpful to you as a writer?
Upwork ended up being a lifesaver in terms of hiring editors, formatters, but one piece of advice is you get what you pay for.
