Review:

Am I There Yet? is a graphic memoir about navigating life and adulthood filled with an entertaining narrative and lots of illustrations. pictures are colorful, quirky drawing style that I like. Plus the illustrations are humorous, which made me laugh throughout the book.

Andrew’s story is relatable to a wide audience with the overarching theme of finding yourself in this book. Everyone will be able to see a little of themselves in her stories. She talks about how there is no easy way to navigate life, but  that we should make sure to enjoy the little moments and to take risks in order to live a fuller life.

Written in a casual tone, she offers examples and stories from her own life where she’s learned to find herself. Each chapter focuses on a different theme such as travel, dating, your first home, and more. She reminds us that we have to figure out life as we go and that we’re not going to always have all the answers. Book was motivational and uplifting, nobody’s path is a straight line. I also appreciated that the book was short, sweet, and to the point.

I felt inspired by this book and I think you’ll be too. Recommended!
