A book that made me think
This book made me reflect on my overall writer’s life and it gave me new ways to improve my craft and become a stronger writer. It gives lots of helpful tips and reflective points to help you get the best out of each writing piece.
A book that surprised me
This novel is wacky and lots of fun! I love romance books that don’t take themselves too seriously and make for a enjoyable reading experience. The male lead (well, alien) desire to be a pop star like David Bowie and the lengths he goes to for stardom really surprised me.
A book that made me happy
This novel teaches a wonderful lesson about acceptance while being very humorous. It’s a good read for all ages and it’s heartwarming message of being proud of who you are made me happy.
A book that made me sad
This novel is beautifully written, but also deeply sad. Throughout the book the readers get an intimate view of the main character’s hardships, it absolutely heartbreaking all of the horrific things she goes through and you empathize with her struggles.
A book that made me feel nostalgic
This graphic novel series makes me nostalgic for all the Nancy Drew and other kid lit mystery series I read as a child. It’s lighthearted and even though the mystery aspect is not too complex, I still enjoyed it.
A book I have a love/hate relationship with
I was really excited to read this graphic novel but found it underwhelming and a bit disappointing. I felt that the story was a bit disjointed in many parts which disrupted the flow of the overall narrative.
A book that I have re-read the most
I don’t re-read books much, so I’ll skip on this one!
A book that made me want to travel
I decided to give this book a try since I love a good suspense story. I love the serene setting of Italy as the background for the mystery!
A book that gave me all the feels
This novel has all the feels! Carlino writes some of the best deep, complex narratives in contemporary romance. The main character revists her past in order to help her to move on to the future.
A book I wish I hadn’t read
This had a really great premise with its innovative concepts, but ultimately it fell flat for me though due to its clichés and it’s predictability of the plot.

Oh that sucks about the Undertaking of Lily Chen. I like the cover, so I’ve always been interested in trying it.
Yeah it was kinda meh. I wanted to read the story because of the cover, but the story itself just felt like there was something missing.
