What’s your favorite thing about reading?
My favorite thing about reading is that it takes me to new and exciting places. Reading provides me an escape from my daily grind, and lets me relax while going on an adventure.
What are three books you’ve read that have a satisfying ending?
Looking back on these reads, I was happy with the way the story was tied up at the end.
What are some of the oddest things you’ve used as bookmarks?
A (clean) tissue, and small crafting items (ex. pens, pen pouches, washi tape).
Do you see yourself as a casual book-cat, an active bookworm, an obsessive book-dragon or some other kind of book-creature?
An active bookworm. But honestly a book-dragon sounds pretty epic!
Do you have a least favorite book or series?
As for a recent read, I would choose this book. It’s one of my least favorite shojo manga I’ve read. The story looked cute, but it was plain and predictable.
What’s your favorite genre to read?
Fantasy! I just love the world-building and magical elements of the genre. I feel like there are so many things a writer could create or concepts to explore.
What is one book or series you haven’t read but you really want to?
It’s a upcoming book release, but I’m excited to read this book. I love the gorgeous cover art and the story is the first in a West African-inspired, feminist fantasy series.
