This a small, interesting book is about finding your ikigai – identifying your purpose or passion and using this knowledge to achieve greater happiness in your life. I love how gorgeous the cover art is.
What’s a classic novel you’d like to curl up on the couch with?
I love to read fantasy novels on rainy days, so Narnia is right up my alley!
Share a scary book you would read during a rain storm
This horror novel is the perfect book for a rain storm. It’s a creepy retelling of Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein and it brings a unique take on the classic tale.
What’s a good book rec for rainy days?
This is one of my favorite spooky novels of 2018. It’s got a mysterious apartment, vengeful ghosts, and an overall suspenseful aura that really sets the tone for the book.
What two characters would you like to spend a rainy day with?
Hazel made such an eccentric person in this book, and I think she be fun characters to spend the day with because of her bubbly personality. She’d make a good friend!
Zac from Pas De Deux is world-renowned choreographer so I feel like he could teach me the basics of modern dance and ballet. I’ve always wanted to learn those dance styles.
Share a book that has blue on the cover
I enjoyed this novel because it’s gritty, real, but entertaining. It’s a good story about growing up, finding yourself, and the importance of family. Highly recommend!
What book has a rainy setting at some point?
This historical fiction novel is set in Victorian London and it rains throughout various parts of the book, setting the scene for the mystery surrounding the piano hall the main character works at.
What book would you not mind using as an umbrella?
i couldn’t do that no matter how awful the book is. I would feel too guilty!
Which character would you like to share an umbrella with?
Adam from Love on My Mind! He’s cute, smart, and very caring.
Share a novel with a dry beginning but AMAZING ending
The first initial book in The Bloodhound Files series starts out a bit slow to lay down the world building aspects for the readers. But after a quarter way into the book the paces picks up and readers are in for an exciting story. I’ve read three books in this series and so far, it’s good!

Thanks! I’ve been thinking about revisiting some old favorites like Narnia too.
If you like Frankenstein inspired tales, then I recommend reading Mary’s Monster by Lita Judge. It is a fictionalized biography that details Mary Shelley’s life from childhood onward and is told in free verse, plus it has beautiful moody water color illustrations.
