Today’s Topic: Behind The Book Blogger Tag
Found At: Read By Tiffany
Since I have some new readers for the blog, I thought it would be a great opportunity to do another one of this style of book tag!
Why did you start blogging? & Why have you kept blogging?
I started blogging in 2013 because I wanted an outlet to talk about books with others. I loved to read all my life and I had read other blogs for the longest time, but I wanted to start my own blog. I love sharing all of my bookish thoughts and getting the opportunity to find new reads that I enjoy. I keep blogging because I like being connected to the bookish community and it brings me joy to share books that may be a new discovery to other readers.
What is your favorite type of blog post to write?
As much as I enjoy writing book reviews, I think it’s a tie between book recommendations and think pieces. I love coming up with new creative themes for these types of posts.
What are your top three favorite blog posts?
I don’t have a top three, but I will share a few posts that stand out to me:
A Bibliophile’s Nostalgia: Reading Rainbow
Bibliophile Tips: Ways to Declutter Your Book Collection
Slice of Life: Life of a Freelance Writer
What are some of your favorite things to do to relax?
Outside of reading? I love journaling, crafts, watching TV/movies, and listening to music.
What are three of your favorite things?
Dance arcade games, going to art museums, and discovering new art museums.
What are your proudest blogging moments?
Anytime an author or publisher has shared my book review or getting the chance to collaborate with bloggers/authors. It has made me really happy!
What are your hobbies outside of blogging?
Going to comic conventions, traveling (in general), and trying new bakery treats (I have a major sweet tooth).
Describe your personality in three words.
Fun, goofy, and eclectic.
What are your top three pet peeves?
Rude people in general, loud drinking (gulping coffee, etc.), and people that talk/text at a movie theatre. The list could go on and on for this prompt, lol.
What’s something your followers don’t know about you?
I don’t have any tattoos. But I would love to get a tattoo one day!

I enjoyed this, thank you! I agree, when the author responds to or shares our reviews, that’s the best! My proudest blogging moment I think was when I called in (I was polite) an author about how she’d listed the races of all her participants who weren’t White, but not the White ones, and I had a super response thanking me and saying she’d take care of that in future books. I was nervous of saying anything but felt I had to, and was braced for push-back, so that was great and a big relief.
Thank you! I agree it’s nice to see some interactions with authors about reviews or just in general about their books. I get excited everytime I get to interact with new authors.
