Today’s Topic: Easter Book Tag

Rabbits – A book that you wish would multiply (So a book you want a sequel to that doesn’t have one)

I’m going to cheat a bit with this answer so I will say Abbott because the sequel is just starting to be published in issues. I was hoping for a sequel because the story left me wanting more. I can’t wait to get my hands on the trade paperback!

Egg – A book that surprised you Hunt – A book that was hard for you to get your hands on

I don’t have any books for this prompt. I don’t think I’ve had trouble getting my hands on a title recently. I’ve been reading a lot from my bookshelves.

Lambs – A children’s book that you still enjoy

I was obsessed with this book as a child because it was too cute! I love the story still and I always get laughs out of it!

Spring – A book with a cover that makes you think of spring

I think this book gives me a spring feeling because of the flowers on the cover and it’s bright pastel-like tones.

Jesus – A religious or spiritual book that you love

I’m more of a spiritual person than religious, but I really enjoyed reading The Fifth Agreement. It’s a good book about mastering yourself and awareness about who we really are.

Rising from the dead – A book from a deceased author

For this prompt, I’ll pick a book I enjoyed in my English Lit class. It still stands out as one of my memorable reads from one of my school days.

Baskets – A book that is in your amazon cart or wish list right now

This book fell on my radar due to someone sharing this on book Twitter. I love the cover art so much. It’s a coming of age story with romance mixed in. I can’t wait to read it.

Candy – A book that is sweet

This is series that is lighthearted, but also talks about gender stereotypes. The main character, Asuka, is expected to act very masculine by his peers and family, but he’s a softie at heart. He loves to bake along with other hobbies, but feels as if he has to keep things a secret. The conversation of stereotypes plays a big role of the story and eventually things shift to a more positive outlook.

Peeps – Tag people

  1. I have a lot of books for the egg prompt. I find these books that are old or translated and hard to get a hold of them and then fixate on them instead of the dozens of books I own or thousands of books I can just get from the library. So far, I think I’d just say Forest of a Thousand Daemons by D. O. Fagunwa, Guardian of the Word by Camara Laye, or Mella and the N’Anga by Gail Nyoka.

    1. I agree about translated works. It’s much harder to get my hands on a copy even via a library. Sometimes I am able to find a used copy online, but even then it’s a 50/50 chance if they have it.
