Found On: The Perks of Being A Bookworm
Today’s Topic: Fifty Questions
1. What was the last book you read?
“Dorothy Must Die”- Danielle Paige
2. Was it a good one?
Yes.
3. What made it good?
The fact that it was unique retelling of a popular children’s book.
4. Would you recommend it to other people?
Yes, it’s the first in a brand new YA series, and I think most readers would enjoy it.
5. How often do you read?
Almost every day.
6. Do you like to read?
Is this a real question?! Yes, Yes, and Yes!
7.What was the last bad book you read?
“The Word Exchange” by Alena Graedon
8. What made you dislike it?
It was just really uninteresting to me, and was too slow-paced. But I think others might enjoy, it just wasn’t my cup of tea.

Ever since I was kid 🙂
10. Has any book every influenced you greatly?
Yes.
11. Do you read fan fiction?
Yes, I quite enjoy it!
12. Do you write fan fiction?
No, but I would like to one day.
13. What’s your favorite book?
I really don’t have one favorite book.
14. What’s your least favorite book?
“Dubliners” by James Joyce. I had to read it for school and it was very boring.
15. Do you prefer physical books or ready on a device (like a kindle)?
No matter how much I love my kindle, I’ll always prefer physical books.

Hmmm maybe 5 or 6? But I think it might have been kindergarten.

High School –Â Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

I can’t pick just one!

Richelle Mead
20. What is your favorite genre?
It’s a tie between YA and Contemporary Fiction.
21. Who is your favorite character in a book series?
Not my top favorite character, but I admire Hermione from Harry Potter. She’s smart, pretty, and has lots of confidence.
22. Has a book ever transported you somewhere else?
Yes, most of the time.
23.Which book do you wish had a sequel?
“The Coldest Girl in Coldtown” by Holly Black
I really enjoyed that novel and I wondered what would happen to the main characters if the plot were to continue.
24. Which book do you wish DIDNT have a sequel?
I actually gave these books away, but I would choose the “House of Night” Series by P.C. and Kirsten Cast. That series started out really strong with an interesting plot and characters, but around the seven or eighth novel it felt like the story was being stretched out and there was a lack of moving forward with the plot.

It really depends on the page length, but if I’m not super busy I can finish a book in 2 to 3 days.
26. Do you like when books become movies?
It depends on the book. I think some books should be just left alone as book. But I have seen novels where the film adaptation was much better than the book.

Ella Enchanted. That movie was awful!
28. Which movie has done a book justice?
I honestly can’t pick one.

It depends on the content really. But I enjoy both for their own separate reasons.

Yes, occasionally.

Haha, do I really have to answer this question?! No!
34. Do you read while in the car?
Yes, especially if its a book I can’t put down or if it’s a long ride to wherever I’m going.
35. Do you read while in the bath?
Yes, it’s relaxing. I actually have to confess that I have dropped a book in a filled bathtub, luckily I was able to salvage it before too much damage happened.

Classics and well as contemporary fiction. But really any books that are intriguing for students and gets them to really think literature and the world that they live in.
50. Which books should be banned from all schools?
None. Unless it’s really inappropriate for a student, I think students need to be exposed to all types of books so that they expand their minds and open their eyes to the world around them.
