Books I’d Like to Read This Winter
Here are a few books on my Winter TBR:
Favorite Things in Winter
Comfy clothes! I live in sweaters and hoodies during this season since I get cold easily.
Favorite Winter Drink
Hot Coccoa! I love to drink tea and coffee all year round, but there is something so cozy about drinking hot chocolate during the Winter. Especially because in the Wintertime, I find so many more flavors too!
Favorite Winter Activities
Winter is my least favorite season, because I don’t like being cold (and daylight savings time on top of it). I’m an indoors person during the Winter months and I love to work on my cozy hobbies such as reading, crafts, baking, and movie marathons.
Favorite Winter Scents
Usually, I gravitate to warm scents such as vanilla, but my favorite is pine-scented candles. I love the smell of fresh pine trees.
Favorite Winter Books
Snow Fairy – A wholesome, sweet love story about two very different people brought together by the beauty of winter. This manga felt like a slow-moving cozy read as Narumi and Haruki’s worlds collide. Both bring their city and country perspectives to how they view winter literally and metaphorically.
Otherworldly – This fantasy novel takes readers on an exciting adventure and quest for truth that ultimately blends our world with the supernatural. The threat of a never-ending winter (speaking from someone who hates being cold) is terrifying finding a way to stop this takeover involves some dangerous moves.
Stranded – Smith makes Stranded an intense and suspenseful read from beginning to end. The story starts slow, but once we get to the turning point the story races forward keeping readers on the edge of my seat. Smith’s descriptive writing makes you put yourself in Ava’s shoes. It truly places you within the beauty of the mountains and the many dangerous situations where Mother Nature turns its back on you.
