Favorite book cover?

I don’t have a particular favorite, but I do love the cover for”Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley.

• “The Kite Runner”- Khaled Hosseini
• “Z:  A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald”- Therese Ann Fowler

• “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close”- Jonathan Safran Foer

What magazines do you have in your bathroom/lounge right now?

None…I don’t keep books in the bathroom. That’s a weird question….

What’s the worst book you’ve ever read?

“Pride & Prejudice”- Jane Austen. (I explained why too many times before)

What book seemed really popular but you didn’t like?

“Ender’s Game” – Orson Scott Card.  I read the synopsis, but honestly it’s just not my kind of story.

What’s the one book you always recommend to just about everyone?

I recommend too many books all the time. So I can’t think of just one.

What are your three favorite poems?

• “The Tyger”- William Blake
• “Hope” is the thing with feathers”- Emily Dickinson
• “I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings”- Maya Angelou

Where do you usually get your books?

Usually I go to bookstores like Barnes & Noble and Books A Million. But I actually prefer shopping at local, smaller book stores that sell used & new books.

Where do you usually read your books?

On my bed or in a comfy chair.

When you were little, did you have any particular reading habits?

Not that I remember. But around elementary to middle school I would spent a lot of my summer  days at my grandma’s house. I would sit down in one of her comfy chairs and read for hours upon hours. Sometimes I would listen to audio books.

What’s the last thing you stayed up half the night reading because it was so good you couldn’t put it down?

Ummm..”Breaking Dawn” by Stephenie Meyer, lol. I got home from the release party at 3am, read a good chunk of the book, slept for a couple of hours, and then woke up to finish to the book. I read it in under 10 hours. If don’t have something important to do the next day I will stay up to read books till about 3am, especially if I’m on vacation.

Have you ever “faked” reading a book?

Sparknotes and Wikipedia…that’s all I have to say…..

Have you ever bought a book just because you liked the cover?

Yes, I do it quite often. It’s a bad habit.

What was your favorite book when you were a child?

I don’t have one favorite book, but one book was “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”  written by Laura Numeroff and illustrated by Felicia Bond. It’s so cute!

What book changed your life?

I haven’t read a book that I call “the one” yet.

What is your favorite passage from a book?

I can’t pick just one!!!!

What book has no one heard about but should read?

“Cathy’s Book” by Sean Stewart, Jordan Weisman, and Cathy Brigg (illustrator).  It’s a cool book that’s interactive, has drawings, and it’s like reading a journal.

“The Great Gatsby”- F.Scott Fitzgerald

What are your favorite books by a first-time author?

Can’t think of any.
