Today’s Video: Every YA Book Ever
This week’s viral pick is from one of my favorite Booktubers, Naya, from the channel “Naya Reads and Smiles”. Her bubbly personality, interesting reviews, and fun bookish vlogs will definitely brighten up your day.
In this video Naya discusses some of the frequent story tropes that she’s run into when reading young adult books. She points out things such as, if the story is told from a girl’s point of view there is almost always a love interest and having situations escalate from 0 to 100. I agree with her on a lot of these points! One thing I personally would like to point about YA books is that some of them make love triangles out of situations which is completely unnecessary because the reader already knows who the main protagonist will most likely end up with.
