Today’s Booktube Bite: The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore
This week’s video will warm the hearts of bibliophile everywhere! The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore is a wonderful short animated film (15 minutes long) is directed by William Joyce and Brandon Oldenberg. The creators of the film also worked on the animated Disney short “Paperman” (2012) which received an academy award.
The film tells the story of Morris Lessmore who loves and treasures books, but is stuck in a bleak, black and white world. Just like the Wizard of Oz, a tornado appears out of nowhere and sweeps Morris away. He is transported to a new, magical world full of colors and lots of books. Check out the film below to see what happens.
Enjoy!
