Amanda’s Picks

Autumn is my favorite season! Down in Charleston I may not get to feel the chill in the air or see the leaves change colors, but that just means I have to make up for it with extra fall spirit!

Hocus Pocus Spellbook Reproduction from RyanGoslingSaysHi

Source: Etsy/ Price: $295

Hocus Pocus is the quintessential Halloween flick for all 90s kids, and an annual viewing at minimum is mandatory. I’ve always been fascinated by the Sanderson sisters’ spellbook, bound in human skin and featuring a roving eye. I’d love a re-creation of the book for a spooky Halloween decoration.

Hocus Pocus Spellbook Locket from AlexandrasCreation

Source: Etsy/ Price: $25

If you’re not much for decorating, or if you just want to keep the magic near wherever you are, this locket is super cute!

Scaredy Cat Mini Book by Heather Franzen

Source: Heather Franzen/ Price: $10

Last year I saw this adorable wordless story floating around on tumblr, and I had to track down the artist. Heather Franzen does some fantastic colored pencil art, and this cute mini book of a lost kitten learning the ropes of All Hallow’s Eve is great if you’re feeling nostalgic for the old Halloween story books you’d read back in elementary school.

Creepy Cute Crochet

Source: Amazon/ Price: $14.95

Making a little Cthulhu amigurumi has been on my to-do list for a while! I’m a huuuge fan of H.P. Lovecraft’s stories, and nothing is more iconic than his Cthulhu mythos. What could be a better October night than curling up with a spooky book, a cuddly Cthulhu, and a mug of cider? Or, you can buy your own pre-made Cthulhu on Etsy from a variety of crafters, including this one for $10.

Ravenclaw Sweater

Source: Hot Topic/ Price: $44.50

As a proud Ravenclaw, this cardigan is a great witchy way to keep warm as the weather begins to turn colder, and it’s perfect for a casual last-minute Halloween costume!

My Picks

I love to take baths with bath bombs, aromatherapy scents, oils to help me relax after a long day. These Classic Book Salts from The Soap Librarian intrigues me as it smells like books pages and vanilla, mixed with floral scents. Sounds delightful!

Drink Tea Pillow by The Life Of A Booknerd Addict

Anytime of the year is perfect for cozying up with a good book, but there something extra special about autumn with its sweater weather and fall foilage. This pillow looks not only super comfortable, but is the perfect mash up of fall imagery. The pillow states “Drink tea and fall into Book” which what I plan to do this season.

Boo(h)ks Pouches by Sarah V.P.

Source: Societyt6/ Price: $42.99 (for the entire set of 3 pouches)

This Boo(h)ks pouches by Sarah are absolutely boo-tiful and adorable. It’s got just the right amount of spookiness too! Pouches like these always come in handy when I’m on-the-go. I use them to carry books, makeup, and other little knick-knacks that I carry in my purse. This is too cute to pass up!

Reading In The Fall Candle by CanterburyRoadCo

Source: Etsy/Price: $14.00 (8oz jar)

My list would not be complete with out candles. This “Reading in the Leaves” candle sounds lovely and is a mixture of autumn air, falling leaves. The best thing about fall candles is that they have that spicy, cinnamon smell that reminds me leaves and apple cider. I would love to burn this in my reading nook.
