Synopsis: Hosted by Andy, Michael, and Hunter, this podcast is chronological journey through the struggles, sacrifices, and successes of every animated feature film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Being the Disney nerd that I am, I’m so glad I found this podcast! The hosts are not only lively, but give lots of small tidbits/fun facts about each film they discuss. I also love that they share their memories of the films from childhood. This podcast has such a nostalgic feel and they also have honest criticism of each movie. I love revisiting my childhood through this podcast.

Synopsis: This podcast is dedicated to exploring the secret and/or forgotten histories of Hollywood’s first century.

I am always fascinated and eager to learn more about history, so I wanted to check out this show recommended by Dueling Disney (another podcast I enjoy). Each season is a complete deep dive into a different part of Hollywood history and I liked all the research and care put into each episode. I find myself learning something new with each episode.

Synopsis: To help our fellow Asian Drama fans, near & far we provide a safe place to talk, squee & otherwise act like teenagers in the throes Celebrity Crushes!

This is a fun podcasts about dissecting and reviewing Asian dramas and it’s so much fun! As a huge fan of these shows I always find a new TV series to add to my watchlist. Each episode covers a new show airing or a different topics and the hosts discuss and debates about their favorites. It’s as equally enjoyable as their blog, and the hosts are entertaining.

Synopsis: A history podcast for people who don’t necessarily like history. Want to learn a little bit about Ancient Rome or the Black Death but don’t want to spend hours doing it? Jack and Lauren present a topic in history quick enough for your commute. Now sit back, relax, and learn something.

If you’re looking for educational podcasts that are under an hour, give this a try! I’m a history fanatic and I like how engrossing, but comprehensive each episode is. The compact one large piece of history into a short episodes and the listener is able to learn a lot. The information doesn’t seem overwhelming and they also provide great resources for further reading on the subject.

Synopsis: Yo, Is This Racist?, hosted by Andrew Ti, creator of the popular blog of the same name, is now a weekly podcast! Every Wednesday, Ti, co-host Tawny Newsome, and their guests answer questions from fan-submitted voicemails and emails about whether or not something is, in fact, racist.

This is podcast that tackles some difficult conversations about racism and infuses it with comedy. I really enjoy the banter between the two hosts who are both entertaining. They cover current topics and take listener questions that can be very thought-provoking. It can sometimes be heavy, but for the most part it keeps a light-hearted tone while bringing awareness to serious issues.

Synopsis: A HeadGum comedy podcast hosted by Nicole Byer The podcast features Byer and a guest exploring why she is single, while discussing topics related to love, life, and sex.

This podcast is real, funny, down-to-earth, and it always puts a smile on my face. I’ve been a fan of Byer’s comedy since I saw her on Girl Code (MTV) It’s comedic while also giving some solid relationship advice and I love that she also chats about other topics such as pop culture. She always has an interesting guest and I look forward to new episodes.
