TV
Clean With Passion For Now
Synopsis: An unexpected romance blooms between a germophobic CEO of a cleaning company and a woman not prone to neatness.
I’m getting down to the last five episodes of this drama and I’m enjoying it more than I thought I would. The lead actress/actor are new-to-me and I think they do a good job of pulling off these characters. The show is comedic, full of crazy antics, loveable characters, (and for the most part) and is pretty lighthearted. I was curious to see how they would take on the mental health rep in this show since the CEO deals with severe OCD and mysophobia. While he does get treated with therapy, he also starts get better when becomes closer to and falls in with Oh Gil Sol and it falls into the love cures all trope. Other than that, I love the show and I want to keep watching till the end.
The 2000s
Synopsis: A look at the decade responsible for Facebook, iPhones, and other significant cultural and political milestones across the globe.
The 2000s doesn’t seem that long ago, but when I watched this series I realized how much has changed with fashion, music, technology, etc. There is so much that has evolved and yet some things haven’t changed. This series was informative and interesting and I like how each episode focused on a different part of that decade. I learned some new things while also revisiting the past. If you like docu-series, check this one out!
Ellen DeGeneres: Relatable
I’ve been in the mood for stand-up comedy lately so I pulled Ellen’s latest Netflix special on a weekend. I’ve enjoyed Ellen’s show for many years, but this is the first time I’ve watched her do stand-up. I thoroughly enjoyed this special! The humor was on point and it was also relatable at times for some of the topics she discusses in the show. If you know of any recent stand-up specials I should watch, please send me some recommendations!
Beauty
Clinique ID Moisturizer
I love a lot of skin care products and Clinique continues to be on of my favorite brands. I like that it’s good for more sensitive skin, plus it gives me a break from the other fragrant skin products I’ve used. The new ID Moisturizer so far, has worked pretty well. It’s not greasy, and it’s light on the skin. I’m slowly noticing a difference of my skin looking a bit brighter!
Betsy Johnson Body Mist
I own the body mist of this perfume and I like how light and floral it smells. This perfume has notes of pear, tangerine, grapefruit, blackcurrant, freesia, lily of the valley, red apple, cedarwood, sandalwood, praline, amber, and musks.
Kooba Beauty Sponges
If you’re on a budget and are in need of Beauty sponges, give these a try. I like that they don’t cost too much, plus they get the job done. I use them on a daily basis for foundation powder and they work very well! They can be washed out and re-used again.
Music
I’ve been working harder to catch up with newer K-Pop releases, and one of my songs that caught my eye is Kill This Love. Not only does the MV for the song have amazing visuals, but I like how the song is one big power anthem. I think I’ll using this track as one of my workout songs this summer.
Funky DL is a MC and Producers from the UK that I’ve discovered thanks to Spotify. I think this song not only has a good beat, but what I like about it the most the song is it’s powerful lyrics about staying calm amidst all the chaos of life.
Lately, I’ve been listening to a ton of City Pop still and one of the new-to-me artists I discovered is Miki Matsubara. Her music is fun and calming at the same time. Wash has a funky disco melody that makes you want to dance and the lyrics are easy to sing along with.

I’ve been binge-watching earlier seasons of Ru Paul’s Drag Race. I have an app which I use to track the shows that i watch, so that I read more and watch less overall, but I don’t track this show. So…I’ve just got to finish them all. Because I am that addicted. *laughs, shaking head at self* Hope you are having a good May so far!
I hope you’re having a good May! Can’t believe June will be here so soon! I’ve watched a few episodes of Ru Paul before, but not a ton. Would you recommend starting with the earlier seasons?
I started with season 7 of the Drag Race and then went back to the earlier seasons (but I prefer the newer ones). It also takes me a few (maybe 4?) in any given season to start to feel like I understand the participants’ styles/goals (and even longer when learning about drag) because there are just so many people. I love it!
