September Book Haul!
It’s the end of another month, and it’s time for a brand new book haul. On a positive note, I restrained myself from buying books from every bookstore I stopped at (not to say that I bought other things there, lol). I only ordered two books from Amazon and I won and received some awesome review copies.
I went to my old elementary school a couple of weeks ago and bought some stuff from their annual book sale. On a bad note, I spent way over my budget. While I got great deals, I wasn’t intending to spend $70 on books. Yikes! Needless to say my wallet was crying. (But I was glad to support my school) And when I did bring them home my overfilled bookshelf looked at me and said…
And still at this moment, I am still trying to find a place for them on one of my many bookshelves. But at the same time, I’m still giving away a lot of books. I’m really trying to bunker down and read the books I already have, it may no be easy, but I’ll take it one day at a time.
Let’s get started!
Bought:
Adventure Divas – Holly Morris
The Money Book for the Young, Fabulous & Broke – Suza Orman (I’m trying to get my finances in order)
Crazy Rich Asians – Kevin Kwan
The Bookseller of Kabul – Åsne Seierstad

Wow great haul! I hope you like The Bookseller Of Kabul better than I did; I remember that the author manipulated the supposedly ‘authentic’ story too much by inserting her personal opinion. The Girl On The Train is an entertaining read with an unreliable narrator, although I don’t think it’s actually worth the hype… And I will probably start reading And The Mountains Echoed later this week.
Thanks! I found a lot of good books this time around. I’ll be sure to do a review on the bookseller book when I read it. Let me know how Hosseini’s book turns out when you finish reading it, it looks really good!
