September Japan Crate Unboxing!
Japan Crate is a monthly subscription box starting at $12 (price varies by subscription) that ship worldwide and has free shipping! Each crate includes exclusive candy and snacks from Japan. In additional to candy and snacks, the crates also include a custom booklet that share descriptions of the products, , chances at monthly contests, and even a custom in-house manga.
Japan Crate also offera a few other subscription boxes too: a “Doki Doki Crate” filled with cutesy items (think plushies, cups, accessories), a “Kira Kira Crate” filled with beauty Items from Japan, and a “Umai Crate” that has a variety of noodles (ex. noodles from udon to yakisoba, spaghetti, soba, and ramen). Lots of choices to choose from!
September’s box was curated by well-renowned skateboarder, Tony Hawk. He is a huge fan of Japanese culture, and him and his kids tried numerous Japanese snacks at Japan Crate’s headquarters in order to narrow down the choices for the boxes. This time I switched to the Mini box which runs at $12 a month.
*Sorry I’m posting this so late! Things have been so busy and I haven’t been able to post this!
What I Received
Coconut Star Cookies – Such a summery snack! These look yummy!
Edamame Baked Chips – Not a big fan of edamame, but the fact it’s in chip form makes it sound delicious to me.
Heart Chipple – These chips are supposed to taste like barbecued steak so I’m definitely intrigued since I love barbecue flavored food. 🙂
Kumamon Umaibo Corn Soup Stick – Uhh corn soup flavored stuff is so weird to me. I’ve had some other similarly flavored snacks like this and I didn’t like the taste.
Pompompurin Milky Lollipop – I am obsessed with Sanrio and all of their characters so I was super delighted to find this in box!
Overall Thoughts
After switching from the Premium to the Mini box subscription since it’s a bit more cost friendlier, I was still happy with this box. I got seven snacks for $12, whereas finding in a Japanese market or store would be a bit more costly for me. I enjoyed the variety of items and the products I look forward to trying the most are the Coconut Star Cookies and the Heart Chipple chips. Looking forward to what surprises lay in the next box since it will be Halloween themed! 😀
I look forward to subscribing to future boxes from Japan Crate! For more info about the subscription box visit: http://japancrate.com/
