Hello fellow readers and tea drinkers! Welcome to another edition of Tea Time Review where I try various types of teas and share my thoughts about them. To see my most recent tea review, click here.
It’s a brand new year so it means that it’s time to try new teas. I was looking for something different and fun to try this time around so I chose to review the Wick’s and Fable’s Pika Pika Electricitea featured in their August anime-themed box.
I loved the play on words and that it’s Pokemon inspired! (Plus the packaging is adorable.) Gotta catch’em all!
Pika Pika Electricitea is a nice blend of organic black tea with Osmanthus petals, fine Ceylon, and Darjeeling Tea. I love Darjeeling so I was really excited to see that included in the blend!
The serving recommendation is to brew 1 1/2 teaspoons that showed be brewed with hot water for 3-4 minutes for a full flavor. Upon steeping the tea I could smell the calming flavors of Black Tea.
Now it’s tea time!
Overall Thoughts
This tea was wonderful! It tastes like a typical Black with extra flavors, but nothing particularly stood out to me while drinking this. However, I did enjoy it and will drinking the rest of it. I wish they sold this as a permanent item in their store rather than a one time deal. I know so many friends who would love this.
