What I’m Listening To…Holiday Edition
Hello readers! I love listening to music of all genres on a daily basis. I can’t go a day without popping on some headphones and listening to some upbeat tunes while I dance around my room or relax from a long day by listening to calming songs. In this blog post series, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite song picks with you in a mini-playlist of five songs.
This month’s edition of “What I’m Listening To” will supply you with some tunes for holidays! This month I’m sharing some Christmas songs that I enjoy. A few are long time favorites and others are quite new to me. It was hard to narrow down this playlist since I have so many favorite Christmas songs, but I did my best! Enjoy the playlist!
1) Man With The Bag by Jessie J

Jessie J shines in this upbeat rendition of Man With The Bag! Her soulful vocals along with the brass melody make its listeners dance along with the music. I just discovered Jessie’s version of this tune and I’m definitely adding it to my music library.
2) Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Judy Garland

No playlist is complete without Judy’s version of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. This clip comes from one of my favorite movies Meet Me In St.Louis and every time I hear this song it gives me goosebumps.
3) Home by Ne-Yo

Next on my playlist is a smooth R&B song by Ne-yo. This ballad talks about not wanting to be alone on Christmas and spending time with the one you love. His vocals are excellent on this track.
4) Jingle Bell Rock by Bond

One classical group that I really feel is underrated is Bond. They are a Australian/British string quartet that specializes in classical crossover and synth-pop music. This version of Jingle Bell Rock is one of my favorites!
5) Zat You, Santa Claus? by Louis Armstrong

If you’re looking for a jazzy Christmas tune, Zat You, Santa Claus? by Louis Armstrong is a perfect addition to any playlist. Armstrong’s signature vocals and swing style melody make this song fun and unique.
