What I’m Listening To… Put a “Spring” In Your Step
Hello readers! I love listening to music of all genres on a daily basis. I can’t go a day without popping on some headphones and listening to some upbeat tunes while I dance around my room or relax from a long day by listening to calming songs. In my segment “What I’m Listening To” I share some of my favorite song picks with you in a mini-playlist consisting of five tracks.
This time around I’m sharing some some songs that bring me into a Springtime mood! Spring is just about here, so I chose songs that are upbeat and that put you in a good mood. Hopefully these songs put a “spring” in your step!
Flower Shower by HyunA
My first pick is a upbeat electronic dance track is about a rebirth and growth with lyrics such as ” I’m paving my own floral path.
I’m gonna shower myself with flowers”. The choreography is playful and I love the imagery/cinematography of flowers in the MV.
Number One by John Legend
If you haven’t listened to John Legend’s debut album, then you’re missing out. One of my favorite tracks is a mid-tempo R&B track about being in love and the ups and downs of a relationship. It’s got a funky groove that is sure to get you up and moving.
Joy by Fefe Dobson
Dobson is one of my favorite underrated artists. I love her overall pop/rock song sound I love how fun and energetic this song is. It’s a good track to jam to in your car. It’s a song that puts me in a peppy mood.
Vivir Mi Vida by Marc Anthony
I was introduced to this song in one of the very first Zumba classes I ever took back in college. It’s a great song to salsa to or if you just want to get up and dance! I love the brassy trumpets in the melody and overall vibe of this song.
Break Out by Toki Asako
Asako is one of my favorite Jazzy artists from Japan. She has such a melodic voice and her cover of this song is so fun! This song has got such motivating lyrics that are fitting for Spring. With lyrics such as “The time has come to make or break. Move on, don’t hesitate. Breakout.”, you will have a smile on your face in no time.
