What I’m Listening To…Sounds of Spring Vol.2
Hello readers! I love listening to music of all genres on a daily basis. I can’t go a day without popping on some headphones and listening to some upbeat tunes while I dance around my room or relax from a long day by listening to calming songs. In this blog post series I’ll be sharing some of my favorite song picks with you in a mini-playlist of five songs.
I’m back again with a another Sounds of Spring playlist for 2017. To see vol.1’s playlist, click here. In this mini playlist, I’m sharing songs that are reminiscent of the Spring season or have fun, light melodies. I hope you enjoy these music picks!
1) Zing Went The Strings of My Heart by Jesse Palter
Jesse is a fantastic pop/jazz singer from my hometown area (yay!) In this smooth rendition of Zing! Went The Strings of My Heart her vocals truly shine. This song is a jazz standard and I love the piano melody in this rendition!
2) Cherry Blossom Ending by Busker Busker
Former indie band Busker Busker rose to fame through the TV show Superstar K3. This song is one of the most lovely K-Indie songs I’ve ever heard. Not only do I enjoy the beautiful Spring scenery shown throughout the MV, but Jang Beom-jun’s vocals are so smooth in this song.
3) Send Me On My Way by Rusted Root
Next on the playlist, is Send Me On My Way, a song that you might have recognized from many popular and commercials. The band is known for their fusion of acoustic, rock, world which is displayed in this track. This song is lighthearted and happy sounding, which will definitely put a smile on your face.
4) I Hear Love Is Blind by Amy Winehouse
My next pick is the renowned singer Amy Winehouse’s rendition of I Heard Love is Blind. Though I really enjoy her music, I still get a bit sad while listening to her albums. Her presence is very well missed. Her soulful rendition of this song will give you goosebumps.
5) Can’t Take My Eyes Off You by Lauryn Hill
Last of my musical picks is Can’t Take My Eyes Off You by Lauryn Hill. I love this version way more the original Frankie Vallie. With a nice R&B melody and Hill’s soulful vocals, this is a perfect song for smooth cruisin’ in your car on a warm Spring day.
That concludes my music picks for Spring songs! Hope you enjoyed this playlist. Comment below and let me know what are your own personal song picks. 🙂
