What I’m Listening To…Autumn Leaves Vol.3
Hello readers! I love listening to music of all genres on a daily basis. I can’t go a day without popping on some headphones and listening to some upbeat tunes while I dance around my room or relax from a long day by listening to calming songs. In this blog post series, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite song picks with you in a mini-playlist of five songs.
For this month’s edition of “What I’m Listening To” I decided to feature some songs about the Autumn season that’s just around the corner. While these songs might not be about the season itself, they will definitely set the mood. I tried to stick with a calmer mix of music that comes to mind when I think of fall. I hope you enjoy this musical playlist.
Tis’ Autumn by Nat King Cole & His Trio
Starting off this playlist with a Jazzy tune, I chose this Nat King Cole song. It’s a slow sultry tune about love and observing the change of the season. With lyrics like La-de-da, de-da-de-da, ’tis Autumn” you’ll be ready to watch the falling leaves outside your window with a cup of tea in hand.
Fall In Fall by Vibe
Vibe is one of my favorite Korean duo groups. I love how smooth this R&B track is in its melody and vocals. Vibe never disappoints with vocals. It’s a heartbreak song expressed through Autumn metaphors, but it also discusses how hard it can be to accept change in life.
Autumn Jazz by Sweetch
A purely instrumental track with no words needed whatsoever. It evokes so many Autumn feelings and it makes me feel a bit reflective. While I listen to it I can imagine myself crunching as I walk through fallen leaves. It’s a Jazz song with a great blend of instruments and leaves you sort of coziness.
Autumn Breeze (Feat: Rachel Lim) by JIDA
With lyrics such as “Like the leaves riding on the autumn breeze, like the days gone too far for us to seize” this song has a very reflective tone to it. It’s got a dreamlike quality melody that makes it light even though the lyrics are more serious. The light airy vocals really add to the piano melody of this tune.
Into The Unknown from Over The Garden Wall
This song along with the series along the show is a required autumnal experience (in my opinion). I love the raspy vocals of the song and the wistful tone of the lyrics. If you haven’t watched Over The Garden Wall, I highly recommend it.
I hope you enjoyed this mini playlist! What are your favorite songs that remind you of the Autumn season? Comment below with some suggestions.
