What I’m Listening to…Halloween Edition 2018

Hello readers! I love listening to music of all genres on a daily basis. I can’t go a day without popping on some headphones and listening to some upbeat tunes while I dance around my room or relax from a long day by listening to calming songs. In this blog post series, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite song picks with you in a mini-playlist of five songs.

I’m back this month with a playlist perfect for Halloween! This playlist is a mix notable Halloween playlist favorites with a few eclectic tracks thrown in. Enjoy the playlist and remember to eat, drink, and be scary!

1) (Don’t Fear) The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult

My first pick is a song that’s pretty familiar and usually a standard track in any Halloween playlist. It’s got a creepy vibe, but the beat is very energetic. I love the guitar solo in this song!

2) Werewolves of London by Warren Zevon

This song is catchy and has more of an upbeat vibe. The lyrics and theme remind of the horror/comedy film An American Werewolf in London (which I highly recommend if you haven’t already seen it).

3) The Great Pumpkin Waltz by Vince Guaraldi

What is the Halloween season without a Peanuts holiday special? I love the music from the Vince Guaraldi Trio and this song is one of my favorites! It gets me ready for fall, plus the melody is very soothing.

4) Ghostbusters by Run D.M.C.

Run DMC remixing one of my favorite movie soundtracks? Yes, please! This song and MV gives me nostalgic feels of an awesome movie and one of the most memorable songs ever. It’s fun and a good track to dance along to!

5) Black Magic Woman by Santana

A solid track coming from Santana for my last pick. The best part of the this song is smooth jazz/classic rock sound mixed with a killer guitar melody. It’s got a funky groove that makes you bop your head with the music.
