What I’m Listening To…Sounds of Summer!
Hello readers! I love listening to music of all genres on a daily basis. I can’t go a day without popping on some headphones and listening to some upbeat tunes while I dance around my room or relax from a long day by listening to calming songs. In this blog post series I’ll be sharing some of my favorite song picks with you in a mini-playlist of five songs.
If you haven’t guessed it by now, this month’s mini-playlist is full of summer tracks. From songs whose lyrics talk about the blissfully sunny season to tracks that just remind you of a day on the beach, this playlist is full of melodic songs. Enjoy!
Summertime by Beyonce Feat. P-Diddy
This is one of my favorite summer car cruising songs. It’s fun, light, and has a beat that you can dance to. It sums up of some of the feelings of the season.
Summer Bubbles by Tommy February 6
I love the pure 80’s bubblegum pop sound this song has. It’s energetic, has a bubbly melody, and it will put a smile on your face. Such a cute summer love song!
Sundown by Zara Larsson
This song is a very underrated track from Zara’s debut album. I love the strong tropical house vibe that the melody gives off in this track. Perfect track for a summer beach party!
Left to Right by Marteen
This is such a smooth dance track. The song has a nice blend of modern and retro music with a funky beat making it appealing to a wide audience. I always dance when I listen to this song.
Hot Stuff by Donna Summer
To end the playlist, I’m choosing a track from the Queen of Disco. This song is one of my all-time favorites from Donna and it has such an infectious beat!
I hope you enjoyed this playlist! What are some of your favorite summer songs? Comment below!
I’ve only JUST started to think about summer reading…I haven’t gotten to summer listening yet! LOL But, hey, did I tell you that I included your referral to Lauv’s song about Paris in my post about reading about Paris last week? So maybe I’ll find a new favourite in the videos above too!
Thanks for the mention! I hope you find a song that you enjoy here. 🙂
