What I’m Listening To…Tea Time
Hello readers! I love listening to music of all genres on a daily basis. I can’t go a day without popping on some headphones and listening to some upbeat tunes while I dance around my room or relax from a long day by listening to calming songs. In my segment “What I’m Listening To” I share some of my favorite song picks with you in a mini-playlist consisting of five tracks.
As you might have noticed by my profile and that I’ve talked about it on my blog, I love tea. I drink it daily and enjoy many kinds (as you’ve seen in my tea reviews) I decided that this month’s playlist will themed around tea. Here are five tracks about tea, love, and life!
1) My Proper Tea by Doc Brown
Who knew there were rap songs about tea?! This funny, but catchy song tells you the “proper” way to make a cup of tea by using the right ratio of ingredients. I also love the blocky animation style used for the video.
2) Tea for Two by Doris Day
I love old Hollywood movies and music, so this song really stuck out to me. It’s got a catchy piano melody accompanied with sweet vocals. It’s such a cute song is about falling in love while drinking tea.
3) Tea House in Chinatown by The Four Tops
Next up, is a bit of that good ol’ Motown sound. The title alone reminds me of when I take a trip to any tea shop and how I’m surrounded by all the sweet aromas and many tea options.
4) When I Take My Sugar to Tea by Dudley Moore, Cleo Laine
This jazzy standard has a groovy sound that will brighten your day! It’s mellow song, but just upbeat enough to put some pep in your step. I’ll definitely be listening to this tune the next time I have a cuppa.
